Dr. Amjad is Assistant Professor of Health Promotion. He have an MPH from Quaid-i-Azam University and Master of Medicine in Public Health from the National University of Singapore. In addition Dr. Amjad have Bachelors Degree from the Punjab University in European History and Sociology. Before joining Health Services academy he worked in the District Health Office, Islamabad Capital Territory, Islamabad. 

Dr. Amjad joined Health Services Academy in year 2000 and have since been working here. He have coordinated MPH Program for five years and was also involved in the Country Coordination Mechanism, Secretariat of Pakistan for two years. He have contributed in the Elderly Health Project in Health Services Academy.
